EMU is compatible with GroupWise versions 7.0.x, 6.x and 5.x and eDirectory running on NetWare, OES, SuSE Linux and Windows.  EMU has evolved into a powerful and mature application since being released in 1999.  EMU's features are a direct result of the features and enhancement requests we receive from large network administrators of all types.  EMU has the features you are looking for whether you are looking to delete accounts that have been inactive for over X days, identify orphaned home directories that are no longer associated with user accounts, create user web directories, move user home directories to a different server, or just about any other bulk user management task you can think of.

EMU is a Windows application that doesn't require any server-side updates, NLMs, or schema extensions.  It leverages your current hardware and software investment.  EMU is flexible.  It allows you to use information from your HR database or student records management system to update eDirectory and GroupWise passwords, group membership, GroupWise distribution lists and much more. EMU can be used to manage your extended schema attributes and enhance your DirXML or Identity Management solution.

Server hardware requirements:

• There are no server hardware requirements.  EMU is a workstation application.  There are no server NLMs or eDirectory extensions to install or configure.

Server access rights, trustee assignments and permissions:

• The administrator using EMU must have appropriate eDirectory, GroupWise and NetMail rights and trustee assignments, and applicable file system rights/permissions on the host server.

Workstation Requirements:

• Windows 9x, NT4 Workstation, 2000 Professional, XP Professional
• 64 MB RAM (more RAM is required in larger systems - above 5,000 users)
• 20 MB Available Disk Space
• GroupWise Client
• The latest release of the Win32 Novell Client 4.92 is now compatible with EMU.  Even though Novell has removed the ZenWorks Desktop components from the client, the latest EMU release will work with the latest Novell Client versions.
