Adds a suite of handy DOS style commands to the NetWare console interface. Current commands include CD, DIR, MD, RD, DEL, TYPE and COPY. No messy interfaces or interpreters here, just a straight extension to the main console.

Ever been in need of DOS tools on a NetWare server? This handy set of command line tools gives you a basic set of DOS commands that you can run right at the console prompt. Unlike other programs, you don't need an interpreter, or and support libraries to load this up. Very useful in emergency situations and also a good companion tool to have loaded on the server for occasional maintenance tasks.

NWDOS is a bunch of command line tools that are ordinarily associated with workstation operating systems. NWDOS makes your life easier when the need arises to manage files at the server console. NWDOS does not rely on any support libraries so can be loaded and used as is, even without a fully installed server.

SDLPD is a NetWare Loadable Module (NLM) that provides the ability to transfer print jobs between NetWare print queues and UNIX print queues. SDLPD acts as a print server/client that implements the LPR/LPD protocol as described in RFC 1179. SDLPD can also be used to transfer print jobs between netware servers over a TCP/IP WAN. Print jobs may also be sent directly to TCP/IP enabled printers such as HP JetDirect print servers to conserve Netware Connection Licenses.

SendMerc is a small utility who allows you to send emails via the mercury mail system on netware servers.

If you have installed the mercury mailserver on your server, then you use this tool to send textfiles via mercury. So you could send the logfiles of the backup, or the abend.log after a server is started...

Handy TCP socket utility for NetWare servers. Developed originally as a test tool for i-MailDS this has become a useful tool for diagnosing TCP links on NetWare servers - especially when testing mail. SockClnt is a very simple bidirectional TELNET tool that can be used to hook up to any TCP port.

Sockclnt is an NLM based telnet tool that was designed for ensuring that i-Mail is up and functional without requiring a workstation connection. It allows connection to any TCP server and service including, but not limited to, POP and SMTP. It can be used to connect to i-Mail servers or any ISP to troubleshoot mail and other TCP service related problems directly from the NetWare server console.

Netris is friendly on system resources so there is no need to worry about system overload from such intensive tasks as mice tracking across the screen and hanging the real task at hand. In fact it is so much fun we entered it into the Novell developers contest! Although there were no particularly relevant categories and it did not feature in the winners circle.

Netris is a free, open source, Tetris™ clone written in C#. Currently it runs Microsoft Windows 98/ME/2K/XP. It also compiles on Linux.

NLMs - AutoPurge Version 1.30

AutoPurge is a NetWare NLM that periodically (every 5 seconds to every one hour) checks all the volumes on your server for deleted but not yet purged files. If a volume with purgeable files crosses two user-definable thresholds that can cause your server to become unresponsive - by default less than 10% of free space or fewer than 2,000 free blocks exist - then the volume will automatically be purged.

AutoPurge is a NLM which is capable of flagging, removing and purging files selectively and automatically by defining jobs. Several tracing and logging functions are supported.

The auto-purge function automatically purges messages from the archive at the end of the month during which their retension periods expire. Auto-purge is on by default.

When auto-purge is on, you cannot manually purge messages (the Purge command is not displayed).

When auto-purge is off, the Purge command is displayed for a specific month if the number of messages on extension is greater than the number of messages on hold. The messages that are not on hold remain in the archive until you issue the Purge command.

In addition AutoPurge allows you to purge the volumes on your server:

On demand, without taking control over the server prompt or dismounting the volume (including the sys:_netware directory that purge.exe can't touch)
When the volume reaches a defined number of purgable blocks or files
Daily, weekly or monthly at a scheduled time (weekly and monthly added with version 1.30)
Purge all files, or only those files deleted more than X days ago.
