SAVEUSER is a reversion of MAKEUSER: it reads the bindery and creates an ASCII file in MAKEUSER format. You can use SAVEUSER to document security structure, or to transfer users to other file servers, or to use existing users as a model to create new ones. The resulting ASCII file can be edited before submitting it to MAKEUSER. Help is available by entering "SAVEUSER" without parameters.

Simply lists all users in the bindery DOS 3x 4x

Command line tool to dump basic user info from NT Based systems.

A very basic user dumping program that will enumerate all of the users on a specified machine and dump userid, password age, expired, disabled, PWD Not Required, Locked, and No Expire information for all of the ID's enumerated in tab delimited format. This one isn't very polished, it went through a Q-N-D design and writing stage and never went farther but I use it all of the time just the same.

This bindery editor allows you to view and edit every possible bindery object type, add,remove, change and copy properties and their values and create or edit login restrictions for every possible object type, edbin is menu driven, looks similair to the novell desktop DOS 3x 4x

Description:

EDBIN is the name of the transient utility which provides the facility for Editing of binary files in DOS. Binary files are defined as any file which does not contain exclusively displayable alphanumeric characters in the range 20h to 7Eh.
By using EDBIN, any file can be loaded into memory and examined, amended and resaved as necessary. Commands are provided for loading a file into memory, editing memory in hexadecimal and ASCII, for initializing areas of memory to a specified byte or word value, for copying the contents of a block of memory to a different location, for searching for a specified string and comparing two areas of memory.

After editing, data can be written back to disc, either to an original filename or as a different name if required. All EDBIN commands can be terminated, at any time, by using CTRL-C, or suspended using CTRL-S. If console output is suspended by using CTRL-S, it can be restarted sum any key except CTRL-C, CTRL-S or BREAK. The EDBIN program is included on the DOS Plus Boot Disc.

Invoking EDBIN

Two methods are permitted when first calling EDBIN. It may be called either with a filename as a command tail, or with no command tail. This permits a filename to be supplied immediately if, perhaps only one file is to be edited, or for several files to be loaded and saved from within EDBIN. Filenames may include a drive and path specification.
To load EDBIN with a filename supplied, at the DOS prompt enter:

EDBIN <filename>

where <filename> is the file that you wish to edit. The file will be loaded into memory by EDBIN automatically, which will then output a '-' prompt to indicate that it is ready to accept further commands.

Alternatively, if you wish to change discs after loading EDBIN because the file is on a different disc, EDBIN can be started by entering only it's name. Again, EDBIN is loaded and responds with the prompt, but no file is loaded for editing. In this mode, memory can be examined and modified without loading a file, or files may be loaded, edited and resaved.

Dump the contents of the Netware bindery to a file or printer DOS 3x

Usage:

DumpObj, DumpProp and DumpVal work with the individual files (Net$Obj, Net$Prop and Net$Val respectively) displaying all available fields, while DumpBind works with all three files and displays the full bindery structure.
Bindery contains the record structures for the bindery files, and BindTool has some useful functions and what-not for processing the bindery.

Notes

Bindery files are assumed to be in the current directory.
Any comments on my crumby C style will be happily received and just as happily ignored

Copy-Bindery is a simple batch file which uses the two included utilities BINDOPEN and BINDCLOS to take safe copy of the system bindery files DOS 3x

It can be used for fast bindery access, bulk user management, bypassing security restrictions, investigating problems etc.

It is quite possible to destroy the bindery completely, or to reveal information which could be used by hackers to obtain passwords. Users are assumed to have a basic grasp of good procedures for security andbackup.

The following actions apply only if a bindery has been specified by the SERVER parameter:

CLOSE close the bindery, i.e. make it available for direct access; users attempting to access the bindery via NetWare API calls will receive an error
OPEN open the bindery, which causes the server to reload it and may take some time for large binderies
COPYdirectory copy the bindery files into a directory elsewhere
